Garlic Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients:

  • Medium-sized shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • Spaghetti pasta
  • 6-8 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Olive oil
  • Italian seasoning
  • Ground pepper
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Salt
  • Fresh herbs (optional)

Method:

  1. Cook the pasta: Boil the spaghetti in water until it’s cooked. Reserve some of the pasta water for later use. You can also add fresh herbs to the water while boiling the pasta. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. Prepare the shrimp: While the pasta is cooking, wash and clean the shrimp.
  3. Cook the shrimp: Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat, then add the shrimp.
  4. Cook until pink: Let the shrimp cook until they turn a light pink color, then add the chopped garlic.
  5. Cook the garlic: Let the garlic cook for 5-7 minutes, then add olive oil. Continue stirring until the shrimp are fully cooked and pink.
  6. Combine the pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the pan. Sprinkle the Italian seasoning, salt, ground pepper, and red pepper flakes. If needed, add a little of the reserved pasta water to help combine the ingredients.
  7. Finish and serve: Stir everything together in the pan until fully combined and heated through. Garnish and serve.
